PERFORMING FOR NOBODY
PERFORMING FOR NOBODY deals with the physical and emotional experience of absence and presence.
The work takes place and evolves around a family summer house in the Black Forest. While digging through piles of memories, we reconstruct the past, realizing that the presence of absence of people, events and habits fill the walls of this place. Objects, photographs and furniture carry the stories of years and become our collaborators and witnesses in our quest for making room for the present.
Working with the media of dance and visual arts we meet on the grounds of DIY film making. Choreographing camera, objects, voice and body we create an atmospheric journey towards a future constructed out of memories.
